It’s the X-Men vs. Saw-like Death Traps and More in Marvel’s New Releases

Members of the X-Men face extermination in the new releases for Marvel Comics.

Debuting on Wednesday is the X-Terminators miniseries written by Leah Williams and illustrated by Carlos Gómez, which places Dazzler, Boom-Boom, Jubilee and Wolverine (Laura Kinney) into complicated death traps. However, the title doesn’t only tease grindhouse-like debacles for these heroes, but promises more horror with vampires and who knows what else. The villain behind their kidnapping and precarious situation remains to be seen within the five-issue title.

Meanwhile, the penultimate issues for both A.X.E.: Judgment Day and Edge of Spider-Verse are out as well. Judgment Day is a crossover event between the Avengers, X-Men and Eternals, pitting the teams against one another after the Eternals deem mutants to be the next Deviants. Edge of Spider-Verse, on the other hand, is preparing Marvel readers for writer Dan Slott and artist Mark Bagley’s new Spider-Man series and «The End of the Spider-Verse.» The miniseries’ upcoming fourth issue will feature Spider-Ham, the Spider-Mobile, Sun-Spider and introduce fans to the Disney princess-like Spinstress.

Tie-ins to Judgment Day releasing on Wednesday include The Avengers #60 and Fantastic Four #47. It is an X-Men heavy week for Marvel, being that the two-part X-Men Unlimited: X-Men Green title is wrapping up, and the latest New Mutants series is releasing its 30th issue alongside Legion of X #5 and X-Men: Legends #2.
