Writer Meghan Fitzmartin and artist Riley Rossmo launch their new Tim Drake: Robin ongoing series, a mystery that will put Tim’s loved ones in danger.
Robin Tim Drake gets his very own solo title in DC Comics’ new releases.
Out on Tuesday is Tim Drake: Robin #1, the start of a new ongoing series written by Meghan Fitzmartin and illustrated by Riley Rossmo. Fitzmartin has been writing for Tim since he came out as bisexual in the «Sum of Our Parts» story from Batman: Urban Legends, continuing on to pen the character in the DC Pride: Tim Drake Special one-shot and the Dark Crisis: Young Justice miniseries featuring Tim, Superboy/Conner Kent and Impulse/Bart Allen. Tim’s solo series is set to be a mystery that puts everyone he cares about in danger, including his boyfriend Bernard.
Shifting from the Bat Family to Men of Steel, releasing alongside Tim Drake: Robin is Action Comics #1047 by writer Phillip Kennedy Johnson with art by Riccardo Federici and David Lapham. The issue will be the first part of the «Kal-El Returns» crossover between Action Comics and Superman: Son of Kal-El, and feature Metallo as the story’s main villain. «Kal-El Returns» will last for six issues total, running across Action Comics #1047 through #1049 and Son of Kal-El #16 through #18.
Also out is the death of Harley Quinn and the debut of both the Batman: The Audio Adventures and DC Horror Presents: Sgt. Rock vs. The Army of the Dead miniseries, the latter written by The Evil Dead‘s Bruce Campbell. Some titles are wrapping up this week as well, including Justice League vs. The Legion of Super-Heroes, Task Force Z and The Sandman Universe: Nightmare Country.
